The GLP Concept The Lapierre GLP's "Gravity Logic Project" involves placing all heavy components, in this case the motor and battery, as low and central as possible on the bike, making it the best "big motor" e-MTB ever designed.

Lapierre continues this same goal of centering and balancing weights to make the chassis of these e-MTBs ever more maneuverable and easy to ride. The motor/battery assembly has been placed as close as possible to the bottom bracket to concentrate the weight around a center of gravity close to the ground. This allows the GLP to have less weight on the front of the bike and provides a light front end to steer, perfect front-to-rear balance, and less weight overhead, which creates a feeling of lightness when changing angles. Whether on technical descents or in resorts, its kinematically optimized weight distribution ensures and reassures the rider, allowing for total engagement and extreme maneuverability.

Beyond mass centering, reducing the overall weight of the machine was also a key aspect of the GLP's development. The challenge has paid off, since with more travel, larger forks, and an 800W battery, the GLP3's advertised weights are more than attractive: Team at 23.4kg / SE Alpine at 23.7kg / Elite at 24.1kg.

On this new 2025 Lapierre Overvolt AM GLP3 model, the full UD SLI carbon frame weighs 3.5kg without the shock and offers 170mm of rear travel.

The frame is compatible with all shocks on the market, in all sizes.

The choice of differentiated "mullet" wheel sizes remains unchanged: 27.5+ in 2.8 (acceleration, durability, and grip) at the rear and 29er in 2.5 (clearance and precision) at the front, retaining its full meaning.

Other details are also introduced, such as "JDD internal routing," which integrates the cables into the frame at the headset level to create a cleaner cockpit and internal cable routing to avoid any vibration noise and facilitate cable routing.

An important detail: Lapierre has considered practicality by retaining the "classic" cable entries on the sides, called "Race ready," intended for competitors who will find them easy to disassemble and reassemble in the event of a breakdown, making possible faster repairs.

The Kiox 300 display is integrated into the top tube, and the Mini Remote BRC3300 and HMI remote control are connected to the system via wireless Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity for smartphones, GPS, or heart rate monitors.

In addition to the aesthetics, the advantage is a reduced risk of breaking the display in the event of a fall or disconnection of the control cable, which sometimes happened with the LED Remote.

Batteries: For 2025, the GLP offers modularity.

Indeed, the GLP3 now comes with the brand new 800 Wh Bosch Powerpack battery specially developed for the GLP.

The good news is that this battery format has also been developed by Bosch in 400 Wh and 600 Wh versions, making the GLP the only Bosch "smart system" ebike that can easily choose its battery size, while others can only ride with the original battery supplied with the bike.

This argument will appeal to competitors or those who ride for 1.5 to 2 hours after work, but with a lighter bike that can be reduced by up to 1.6 kg by changing the battery.

For the motor, Lapierre still uses the Bosch Performance Line CX

for the Elite model and the CX Race for the Team and SE Alpine models. The conventional model weighs 2.9 kg compared to 2.75 kg for the Race, which features magnesium casings and components and a 400% assistance level compared to 340% for the CX. Specific programming parameters can be adjusted via the Ebike Flow app.

As with the Overvolt AM models in the range, Lapierre has also designed large air intakes for cooling to alleviate any common overheating issues during very sporty use.

Bosch eBike Flow App

Controlling the motor characteristics of your GLP III has never been easier thanks to the system's connectivity via the Bosch eBike Flow app and the KIOX console.*
Choosing and setting modes, adjusting power, and modulating responsiveness—everything becomes interactive, allowing you to optimize motor performance to suit your riding style.

The GLP III TEAM and SE Alpine feature Race, Turbo, eMTB, Tour+, and Off modes.
The GLP III Elite offers Turbo, eMTB, Tour+, Eco, and Off assistance. *with a connected smartphone
