Opening of the Bike Park at the Cambre d'Aze resort

Opening of the Bike Park at the Cambre d'Aze resort

An amazing weekend for the opening of the Cambre d’Aze Bike Park (June 28–29 weekend and summer opening from July 5 to August 31).

We headed up Saturday evening after closing the shop, with our kids and our vans, to enjoy the concert by La Grange à Manu, a great rock band performing their own songs. We also tasted the local beers from Del Mouly, brewed on-site by Yann Pendry, all around a friendly countryside-style brazier.

The atmosphere was fantastic all evening, with a high-energy band and a lively crowd, especially the enthusiastic STAPS students!

After a great night camping — to the delight of the kids who love it, especially up in the fresh air and far from the heat wave by the sea — we hit the bike park trails the next morning. These are trails we already knew well… but until now, we had to climb them all by leg power!

The big new feature is the opening of the El Mouli chairlift, which now runs all summer and makes it easy to enjoy endless downhill runs or ride up to the cirque and summit of Cambre d’Aze! It also gives families and kids access to all the trails, which have been carefully reshaped for a smoother and more flowing ride.

Different pass options and prices:

  • 1 single MTB lift: €12

  • 1 MTB day pass: €22

  • 1 EnduroGrill day (MTB pass + grilled meal): €35

  • 1 EnduSnack day (MTB pass + snack meal): €30

  • 1 MTB season pass: €149

We enjoyed the new blue trail, perfect for children and beginners. It’s never dangerous, yet it has a real enduro-style layout. You can spice it up with sections of red trails that are a bit more technical but still accessible to most riders.

All trails are shaded under the fir trees, and the red and black runs offer more challenge with roots and steeper sections — always natural and in the forest, which is super pleasant in the summer.

Finally, at the top of the chairlift, we treated ourselves to a great meal at the on-site Trio restaurant, where we enjoyed delicious food with a stunning view of the Cambre d’Aze massif.
