The DH bicycles are equipped with spring suspensions (or air on the high-end) with 200mm travel. They allow to go down at unreasonable speeds and to send very big jump.

With a weight around 17-19kgs depending on the range, they can withstand the worst treatments but are not at all suitable for climbing due to their exclusive geometry.
