Why did we design Nock handguards?

Originally, mountain bike handguards were designed to protect the hands from brambles and wild vegetation and thus prevent damage to the hands and gloves.

We quickly realized that handguards should be able to do much more. What if they protected fingers and levers in the event of a violent impact? How about a little more forgiveness when riding at the limit?

We designed the Nock with the ambition to offer the most protective handguards on the market.

Used and abused by some of the best enduro riders over the past two seasons, they have proven their effectiveness in the most demanding enduro mountain bike races, including the Enduro World Series.

You may not ride as fast as them, but Nock handguards are a definite asset if you ride in the following conditions:

Wild, poorly maintained trails
Narrow singles with lots of trees
Practice in enduro and downhill competitions
Winter practice and training (protection against cold, rain and snow)
Practical without gloves

Because handguards are particularly exposed during falls, we have favored a simple and proven design to ensure their reliability and durability in all conditions:

The flip chip part offers a larger contact surface between the fixing tab and the shell for increased rigidity.
The shell deforms differently depending on the impact zone and absorbs the energy of the shock instead of transferring it to the aluminum tab.
The 28 mm Nyloc screws securely fix the assembly.
