DESCRIPTION
The Whistle Vareo Ultegra Di2 Carbon is a carbon road bike designed for high speed and designed to challenge stopwatches.
On the MTB side and in particular VTTAE, the Italian brand Whistle has always been able to place itself well below the competition in terms of price, which positions them among the very best in terms of equipment/price ratio.
With the arrival of this new model, the Vareo, Whistle is applying the same strategy, hitting hard by offering equipment worthy of a bike costing around €8,000!!
This new Vareo was born from a blank sheet, frame and kinematics are entirely new and is positioned as a performance frame, versatile (thanks in particular to its 11-34d cassette) and formidable on the flat.
The Vareo exists in 2 assemblies: “carbon” and “aluminum” which are in reality the same bikes. This distinction is made with the wheels, which are Vision brand but made of aluminum on one side and carbon on the other.
Also, the second difference is made on the cockpit or the assembly called "carbon", benefits from a handlebar/stem combo from the Vision brand, all in carbon and from the Metron range. In addition, we find one of the FSA Omega Alloy components on the “aluminum” assembly.
Finally, the last difference between "aluminum" and "carbon" is at the level of the saddle: Selle Italia on one side and Fizik on the other.
In terms of similarities, we find on the 2 models the new Shimano Ultégra Di2 12v transmission, a carbon seat post, as well as a pair of continental GP 5000S, which we present more.
In summary, an ultra well-equipped bike for its price, available in 2 versions according to your budget with very promising performance and a modern and refined look.
