FOX FLOAT 38 PERFORMANCE E-BIKE 29" 170 mm GRIP FORK
The Performance Series forks feature the same anodized 7000 Series aluminum upper tubes as the Performance Elite, but only in combination with a GRIP shock absorber.
The GRIP shock absorber is inspired by motorsport and uses FIT technology with sealed cartridges combined with an independent spring-loaded floating piston. GRIP allows excess oil to flow through specially designed ports at the top of the shock to provide even damping and increase life. The shock offers three positions for compression damping adjustment (open, medium, firm) and a low-speed rebound adjustment in 10 clicks.
The lightweight FLOAT air suspension system automatically balances the positive and negative air chambers, providing increased sensitivity and traction regardless of air pressure setting. Riders can fine-tune the positive air spring characteristics using volume spacers. Using a shorter top tube saves weight and creates a lightweight overall system.
Optimized for travel of 160 to 180 mm, the Fox 38 fork takes up what made its little sister Fox 36 the benchmark model in Enduro, but in a bodybuilt version.
First of all, the sleeves have numerous innovations: bleeders which allow the internal pressures of the fork to be balanced with external pressures, air/oil circulation ramps allowing them, better management of air pressures but also optimized lubrication of the upper joints, a new arch offering even improved rigidity, and finally a floating wheel axle system which ensures perfect alignment between the fork and the hub. The T-Pivot-Plunger assembly has also been optimized by the brand since the fork features a conical pivot with a differentiated internal diameter in an olbond shape, a T-piece whose diameter increases to 58 mm and finally 38 mm stanchions. You will have understood, the rigidity of the Fox 38 will not disappoint you.
On the spring side, the Fox 38 uses the Float air system dear to the brand, but has some improvements to increase progression and reduce friction. On the hydraulic side, the Fox 38 benefits from the GRIP cartridge which offers relaxation adjustments. and low speed compression going as far as blocking.
